| Event: | SS-01 Environmental Variation Effect on Evolution | Dates: | 1/24, 1/31, 2/7 | Time: | 1:00 to 3:00 | Category: | Spring2025-Seminar | Location: | Zoom Teleconference | Presenter: | Jeffry B. Mitton, Professor Emeritus | This presentation will use a Power Point that will illustrate how the use of genetic markers quantifies how DNA sequences change in response to conspicuous environmental variations. My 48 years of research has substantiated that while some evolutionary changes are slow, others can be seen in a single generation. I will select from my varied work with salamanders, bark beetles, fir species, blue mussels and killifish.
